BroadDaylight

It was April 1st, 2015. Robby Ankarlo needed someone to co-sign for an auto loan. After convincing his musician friend, Chris Toohey, to act as co-signer, they headed to the bank. Just as they wear about to sign the dotted line, some crazy began waving around a gun in the lobby. Natural instinct was to take cover behind the large oak desk. After a security guard apprehended the would-be bank robber, the three young men felt, that in some weird way, they had bonded. Loan officer Skyler Tidwell asked, “Why ARE you purchasing a 10 year old 15 passenger van?!? Robby responded, “Because we need it for the band! You know, to transport equipment.” Explaining that they were in need of a keyboardist, Skyler arranged for an audition the next day and became the third member of the band.
For 2 months, the three of them worked together and wrote 15 original songs. Now they needed a bassist and drummer. Jacob read the flyer that hung on the bulletin board, ‘ROCK BAND SEEKS DRUMMER AND BASSIST’ He already played a few instruments – “Bass can’t be that hard!” he said to himself. After a successful audition, Jacob Thron took over duties as Bassist.
They auditioned several drummers and came to the conclusion that there were two types of drummers in this world - talented ones - and dedicated ones. They needed a drummer who was both!      Hmm?
One day while Chris was driving the band vehicle down Main Street, he was suddenly rear-ended by a motorist in a 1974 wood-paneled station wagon. Rushing back to check out the damage, he noticed something very interesting: The wagon was filled with drums? Yep, an entire drum set! Along with whiplash came a brilliant idea: “I won’t call the police if you will join our band” Drummer Katie Poland readily agreed.
Finally, the indie rock band, BroadDaylight, from Tooele Utah, was complete!
